By mid-January, the project is expected to be completed and the roadway will fully reopen. See project webpage for details.

Marin County Civic Center HVAC – Phase 1

Description

Overview

Most HVAC equipment in the Marin County Civic Center is from the original construction of each of the two buildings – 1962 for the Administration Wing and 1970 for the Hall of Justice. This multi-phase, multi-year project will provide upgrades to all HVAC equipment and related systems within the Civic Center. The first phase is to replace the building management system (BMS), which controls all elements of HVAC and lighting in both buildings, as well as other critical systems.

Funding

The estimate for phase 1 is $7M and it is funded by a special one-time funding allocation.

Public impacts

Work is expected to occur while the buildings are open to the public, but the disruption to services will be minimal.
