Description
Overview
The County’s unincorporated road network pavement condition has improved notably in the last decade due to concerted efforts to invest in preserving this infrastructure. The work to be conducted on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard from Pine Hill Drive (near Chicken Ranch Beach) to Pierce Point Road and will generally consist of full width pavement overlay and conform grinding, replacing damaged guardrails, and updating pavement markings.
Funding
The estimate for this project is $1.18 million. Up to $250,000 will be funded by CalRecycle for Asphalt Rubber and the rest funded by the County’s Road and Bridge Fund.
Traffic impacts
Construction will take place during daytime hours with traffic control measures. Five-minute delays are expected for lane closures; however, access will always be provided for emergency vehicles. Every effort will be made to provide advanced notice and minimize inconvenience to residents.
