Tomales Petaluma Road Tree Maintenance Project

Description

Overview

This project serves to enhance public safety by trimming dead tree branches in the public right of way and removing a number of dead or declining trees, including ones causing damage to a retaining wall on the side of the road. An arborist report for the area indicated that trimming of certain branches and the removal of certain trees is recommended for the betterment of public safety and for the continued health of the trees in the area.

Location

Approximately at 3301 Tomales Petaluma Road.

Funding

Project is estimated to cost approximately $99,500 and will be funded by the County’s Road & Bridge Fund.

Traffic Impacts

Construction will take place during the daytime hours with traffic control measures. The road will remain open with alternating traffic through the lane closure around the project site.

No driveway impacts are anticipated. Expect traffic control measures and, due to the lane closure, a maximum of ten minutes of traffic delay during work hours.

Timeline

December 2025

  • Construction tentatively scheduled to begin early December and finish within the month.
